New America Foundation1899 L Street NWSuite 400 Washington District Of Columbia, 20036

Event Summary

ITIF President Rob Atkinson will discuss his new book Innovation Economics: The Race for Global Advantage, co-authored with ITIF Senior Analyst Stephen Ezell. This important book provides a wake-up call for U.S. policymakers. A fierce global race for innovation advantage is under way and the United States is falling behind. While other nations are making support for technology and innovation a central tenet of their economic strategies and policies, the United States lacks a coherent approach for spurring innovation and competitiveness according to the new bool. Unless the United States enacts public policies to reflect today's economic reality, Americans will face relatively lower standards of living and fewer economic options. The presentation of this book by the authors will be moderated by author Michael Lind.
