July 16, 2018

The United States has the highest share of female ICT workers in the OECD.

Commentary: Women working in information and communications technology (ICT) constitute 1.86 percent of U.S. workers, which is 31 percent the rate of men working in ICT. This compares to 28 percent in Canada, 23 percent in Italy, 22 percent in Spain, 20 percent in France and Great Britain, 17 percent in Germany, and 16 percent in Sweden.Yet while the United States ranks highest among OECD nations, more can and should be done her and in all nations to increase ICT worker diversity, including by gender.
