Prior to joining ITIF, he was a telecommunications fellow for Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, an Honorary Co-Chair of ITIF. Jackie Whisman serves as ITIF’s Director of Development and Outreach. Prior to joining ITIF, Jackie was Vice President of HM&CO. In that capacity, she managed the day-to-day outreach and fundraising activities for a host of non-profit clients. Jackie previously served as a Legislative Correspondent in the office of former Senator Paul Sarbanes of Maryland, as Content Manager and Creative Director at an early stage online startup, as a Get-Out-The-Vote Director for Obama for America and as a Legislative Assistant at the consulting firm Elmendorf Strategies. Adams Nager is an economic research assistant at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation. Areas of interest include macroeconomic growth, competitiveness, and tax theory. Prior to ITIF, Adams was a student at Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned an M.A. in Political Economy and Public Policy and a B.A. in Economics and Political Economy.

Doug Brake is a Telecommunications Policy Analyst with the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation. He specializes in broadband policy, wireless enforcement, and spectrum sharing mechanisms. He previously served as a research assistant at the Silicon Flatirons Center at the University of Colorado, where he sought to improve policy surrounding wireless enforcement, interference limits and gigabit network deployment. Michelle Wein is ITIF’s Trade Policy Analyst, specializing in the connections between international trade, innovation, intellectual property and economic productivity. Her work has been featured in the Huffington Post, The Hill, Politico and Inside U.S. Trade, among others. Prior to joining ITIF, Michelle worked on intellectual property policy at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the U.S. Department of State. She also spent four months studying European Union governance challenges in Berlin, Germany.

Travis Korte is a research analyst at ITIF, where he works on the Data Innovation project. He has a background in journalism, computer science and statistics. Prior to joining ITIF, he launched the Science vertical of The Huffington Post and served as its Associate Editor, covering a wide range of science and technology topics. He has worked on data science projects with HuffPost and other organizations. Before this, he graduated with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, having studied critical theory and completed coursework in computer science and economics. Read more »

Ben Miller is ITIF’s Economic Growth Policy Analyst, specializing in the connection between technology, innovation, and the macroeconomy. Ben joined ITIF in 2013 after working as an economic analyst for the Federal Trade Commission, and has held a variety of other positions in the private and non-profit sectors. He also served for two years as an education volunteer in the Philippines with the US Peace Corps. Ben holds a Masters of International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelors of Arts in German from Whitman College.
