According to Nathan Myhrvold, a leading technology guru and former Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft, we need to innovate new energy technologies to rapidly address global climate change. Mimicking the view of ITIF, Myhrvold’s new study concludes it’s going to be a difficult task to reduce global temperatures from the fossil-fuel driven trajectory it’s on now. To do so will require more efficient solar cells, cheap high performance car batteries and advanced nuclear power and carbon capture and sequestration.
