Washington, D.C. – Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) President Dr. Robert Atkinson announced today that Dr. David Washington has joined ITIF as a Senior Fellow. Washington will focus on building partnerships between the public, and civil private sectors directed at using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to drive innovation and economic productivity and improved quality of life.
“Dr. Washington is a great addition to the Foundation,” said Dr. Atkinson. “His history of building bridges between the worlds of the non‐profit and private sector will help to further advance ITIF’s mission of using innovation to drive positive social change.”
Prior to joining ITIF Dr. Washington served as the Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and is the point person for public‐private partnerships within the business and foundation communities. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and studied abroad at Oxford University before earning a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in forensic clinical psychology from the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln and a Masters in Legal Studies (MLS) from the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln Law School. He completed his clinical psychology residency at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital.
