Michael McKenzie is Deputy Chief of the International Bureau and Senior Advisor for New Technology at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief of the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Before entering public service, Mr. McKenzie held several senior-level positions in the technology industry, including serving as a general manager and senior director of business development & strategy at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA and New York, NY. Mr. McKenzie also practiced law in the technology transactions group of the Silicon Valley firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and in the communications and electronic commerce group of the Washington D.C. firm of WilmerHale. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia, received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and attended NYU’s Stern School of Business.
