A digital media veteran, Zahavah has been with Google for over seven years and currently leads the music partnerships team for Google Play, responsible for licensing strategy, negotiations with record labels and music publishers and partner management.  Previously she was Chief Counsel for YouTube where she oversaw licensing and directed copyright and rights management policies, including the development of YouTube’s industry-leading Content ID platform.
 
Zahavah was General Counsel & VP Business Affairs for YouTube prior to its acquisition by Google, and before that was Associate General Counsel & Director of Music Licensing for RealNetworks, Inc., responsible for music licensing for all of RealNetworks’ services including Rhapsody, RadioPass and SuperPass.  Zahavah was previously at Listen.com, where she negotiated the label and publishing agreements for the first on-demand music subscription service, Rhapsody.  
 
Over the years, Zahavah has represented Listen.com, RealNetworks, YouTube and Google in the DiMA (Digital Media Association), the industry trade association that promotes a healthy business and licensing environment for online entertainment services.
Zahavah received her JD from Boalt Hall School of Law at U.C. Berkeley and her BA in History from Brown University.
