Dr. Stephen J. Rose is a nationally-recognized labor economist who has been doing innovative research and writing about social class in America for the last 30 years. He has specialized in making information accessible to policy makers and the public at large. Dr. Rose has held senior positions at the Department of Labor, Joint Economic Committee, National Commission for Employment Policy, and the Washington State Senate. For five years, he was at the policy office of the Education Testing Service studying the interaction of skills, education, and employment.
Dr. Rose has a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a Master’s and PhD in economics from The City University of New York.
