Nate Gorence is the associate director for energy innovation for the Bipartisan Policy Center’s (BPC) Energy Project. He joined BPC in 2006 as part of the National Commission on Energy Policy, the precursor to BPC’s Energy Project. Gorence is also the staff director for the American Energy Innovation Council (AEIC), a group of prominent business leaders—including Bill Gates, Jeff Immelt, John Doerr and Chad Holiday—who came together to highlight the importance of innovating in energy and to call for a more vigorous public and private sector commitment to energy technology innovation. Gorence holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
