Mike O’Reirdan is an Engineering Fellow at Comcast where he has worked since 2003. He has been involved with the design and operation of large-scale highly available public facing IT systems since 1990. Currently focused on security issues, he was responsible for the architecture of the current Comcast anti-spam platform and the architecture of the Comcast anti-bot service, Constant Guard. 

Mike is a board member and Chair Emeritus of the Messaging Malware and Mobile Anti Abuse Working Group, an organisation that he chaired for five years to the end of 2012. He works with other industry groups such as the North American Network Operators Group, (NANOG) and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), wherehe is one of the co-authors of the IETF RFC on bot remediation, RFC 6561.
