Chris Wolf has practiced law for more than three decades, and currently leads the global privacy practice at Hogan Lovells US LLP, resident in Washington, DC. He also is the founder and co-chair of the Future of Privacy Forum (FPF), a Washington, DC based think tank that seeks to advance responsible data practices, and earlier this year formed the Coalition for Privacy and Free Trade. Chris has edited or authored several books on privacy and Internet issues. He is in the top tier of practitioners ranked by Chambers and was honored as one of Washington, DC’s “Tech Titans” by the Washingtonian magazine in its May 2013 edition.  His work on the issue of Internet hate speech is an outgrowth of his volunteer participation in the mission of the Anti-Defamation League. Chris currently chairs the ADL National Civil Rights Committee and he founded the ADL Internet Task Force in 1995.  He has chaired the International Network Against Cyber-Hate and is co-chair (with the Speaker of Israel's Knesset) of the Task Force on Internet Hate of the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Combatting Antisemitism. Viral Hate: Containing Its Spread on the Internet which Chris co-authored with ADL National DIrector Abe Foxman, was published in June 2013.
