The Internet Protocol Transition: Where Do We Stand?

One of the most pressing issues before the FCC this year will be facilitating the ongoing transition from traditional telephone networks to Internet Protocol (IP), broadband-enabled networks. As part of this effort, the FCC will be faced with the dual challenges of reforming the current telecommunications voice policy framework to spur continued broadband innovation while also ensuring that the digital divide does not widen as this process continues.
